Octave lever controls key that is on top of the neck. Kits includes the vinyl tube and a piece of [optional] key silencer (cork) which needs to be cut to desired lenght and attached using your own adhesive (very easy, see below*).

*Key silencer is a fancy word for a piece of cork that separates the lever body from the sax frame when the key is pressed and depressed. You cut a small piece of the enclosed cork , add some adhesive and attach it to the lever. Look at the defective lever and you should see the placement for the new cork. This parts does NOT affect the playing of the instrument, the noise that is made when the key touches the body is so slight.
